Dungeons and Dragons: The Shatterd Coast
Session 6 (November 11th, 2009)

<[DM]_Hatter> The grand sounds of the horns from the castles rang across the island followed by the cheerful cries of all the town folks, a time of great celebration has come upon the island. Several dragon-kin guardians rushing the docks standing upon each individual docking platform with their shields over their chest and their heads up high as the day of their birthing begins anew.

<[DM]_Hatter> The city activity triples over the matter of seconds as the citizens were starting to move their stalls out to the streets and individuals with gold in their pockets and hearts filled with joy began to flock amongst themselves discussing the events of tonight as Royalty and commoners were becoming one for a single night.

* [PC]_Cyenen sits on the docks, looking out into the water, feeling the amulet heavy in her tunic. The blaring sound of the horns bring her to her senses, and she makes her way back to the inn, weaving in and out of the people in the streets, keeping her head down trying to blend in with the crowd

* [PC]_Adonis after spending some time resting in his room, exhausted from the past night and the wine will be out slightly annoyed because of the loud sound of horns, possibly reminded of his close past.

* [PC]_Lystos pulls himself straight up at the sudden sight of people running past the window he was sitting at. "What the... What in blazes are these people doing?"

* [PC]_Adonis leans next to Lys and whispers "You don't think, they already began searching for me, are they?"

* [PC]_Lystos turns his head to Adonis. "I do not believe so..." He rises from his chair as he sees Cyenen enter the inn. "What's going on out there?"

<[DM]_Hatter> The Inn Keeper looks onto the Inn with a smile as she pulls her hair back "It is the Festival of the Dragon! The Star Light festival!! Everyone, rejoice for the time of our birth has begun and drinks are free for everyone!"

<[PC]_Cyenen> "Ah..this is going to be something you will never forget..."

* [PC]_Cyenen pulls her cloak tighter around her, and sits by the fire, holding her hands near it to warm them

<[PC]_Adonis> "And why is that?" *eyes the water dripping down from Cyenen's cloak*

<[PC]_Lystos> "Did you say that the drinks are free?" He looks concernedly at his mead, which he paid for moments ago.

<[PC]_Cyenen> "Festivals in cities are always a fair sight. they bring many... joys and suprises to the people. I believe this festival does not happen very often, so you should enjoy it while you can, it may only occur once in YOUR lifetime"

<[PC]_Adonis> "Oh joy, I didn't know getting wet like a fish out of the water had the power to make so high spirited. I hope you'll enjoy the festival."

* [PC]_Lystos whispers to himself "...Crowds. Thrice-damned, I hate crowds."

<[PC]_Cyenen> "I plan to avoid the crowd. I do not wish to be noticed here. My kin to do take kindly to me Adonis."

* [PC]_Adonis raises an eyebrow and nods in acceptance to Lystos as he replies to Cyenen "It seems we all rather to stay out of sight, instead of participating in this once-in-a-lifetime festival. I might change my ideas on it, though."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “That is your perogative.”

<[DM]_Hatter> The Inn Keeper picks her bag and gold purse as she gets ready for the festive events "The Inn will be closing soon, It will reopen upon the setting of the sun! Drinks will be offered, Food will be given and Dancing is a must!" she gives a light giggle as she looks at the party "Foreigners, You must join us! This day only comes every five thousand years!"

<[PC]_Lystos> "Well, to be honest, I would much like to see more of this place. We were never truly able to explore it. Besides, out-of-sight does not matter to me as much as out-of-combat. I do hope that these festivities can be peaceful..."

<[PC]_Adonis> "Hmm... On the otherside, you are correct in this one, I guess I might just blend in as well. So, Cyenen, will you accompany me?"

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Aye. However, Lystos, would you care to join us as well?"

* [PC]_Lystos inspects the crowds warily. After a time, he turns his head to her and nods. "I would." Then he motions for his party to lead on. "I will be right behind you."

* [PC]_Adonis goes out of the inn first, putting his hood on "Ah..It's festival time, and I'm looking gloomy with this black robe..."*sigh*

* [PC]_Cyenen sticks back with Lystos commenting to him quietly “It is not as bad as it seems, I hope..”

* [PC]_Lystos returns "I'm sure you are right. Come. The Aristocrat needs his escorts."

* [PC]_Cyenen rolls her eyes, “Aye. we wouldnt want him to be eaten by a dragon..”

<[DM]_Hatter> As Adonis makes his way out of the Inn, a dark heavy shadow appears above the inn flying towards the dock with a sluggish pace as if the creature above was searching for its prey. Its rage was apparent from the wing flaps giving away the emotional flare within the movements.

* [PC]_Adonis stops after taking a few more steps outside the inn, possibly interrupted by the sight.

<[PC]_Adonis> -r d20+2 *spot*

<Dicebot> [PC]_Adoni rolled d20+2 *spot* --> [ 1d20=14 ]{16}

* [PC]_Lystos follows Adonis, and stops where he does. "What is it?"

* [PC]_Cyenen sees her two comrades stop and glances around

<[DM]_Hatter> The enlarged shadow of a black dragon flies over as Adonis recognizes the markings and the flight as Vallanrus the Elder Dragon, in a very angry mood it would appear from the amount of smoke pouring out of his nostrals into the air as his shadow hung over top of the rogue known as Lunos for a mere moment.

<[PC]_Adonis> "Hmm...Once in five thousand years... I guess our black dragon friend is just here to keep his precious lady company." The sarcasm in his voice was pretty clear as he stated his mind.

<[PC]_Lystos> "Friend, indeed." Sarcasm pierces his voice.

* [PC]_Cyenen stares at Adonis, “Lle lakwenien?” (are you joking?) "This cannot be good.”

<[PC]_Adonis> "Cyenen, you should change clothes, your cloak is still wet. And I don't think our friend would like to see you, it should be embarassing for him, afterall, aren't you a 'lady' " *words come out of his mouth, like darts, trying to find a weak point to pierce.*

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Adonis. I shall stay right where I am thank you. How should I know? It is not my chosen task to keep tabs on a dragon!”

<[DM]_Hatter> The shadow figure starts to shift into a humanoid form as it floats overtop of the rogue. A large spear becomes very apparent in the shadow's figure. "YOU FILTHY BASTARD!!!!" the words echo throughout the docks as the spear's presence becomes more apparent. The Shadow begins to narrow in size, and shift as Vallanrus's descent picked up speed. "I'll have you for what you have done!"

<[PC]_Adonis> "May I ask what he has done?" *turns his gaze towards Cyenen with questioning eyes.* "Tell me, do you still have his amulet?" *puts his person into his words, his stance, one of intimidation, only searching for an honest answer.*

<[PC]_Cyenen> “I...I do. I  have made an agreement---”

<[PC]_Adonis> "I have nothing else to say to you then." *turning to Lystos* "If you'll excuse me." *begins walking*

<[DM]_Hatter> Without a hestitation, the rogue's head jerks straight up to meet the dragon-kin formed man with a spear aiming at his head with a fearstricken look on his face. Vallanrus makes no hestitation in thrusting the spear downward as he falls near to the ground "For my Cyenen!"

<[DM]_Hatter> -r d20+11 Spear Attack

<Dicebot> [DM]_Hatter rolled d20+11 Spear Attack --> [ 1d20=4 ]{15}

<[DM]_Hatter> -r 2d8+8 Damage

<Dicebot> [DM]_Hatter rolled 2d8+8 Damage --> [ 2d8=10 ]{18}

* [PC]_Cyenen stares at the scene before her, and the body of her comrade beneath the dragon

<[PC]_Lystos> "By Pelor... Lunos."

* [PC]_Adonis continues towards the dragon.

* [PC]_Lystos turns to Cyenen. "He tried to take the amulet."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “What?”

<[PC]_Lystos> "Why else would Vallanrus... never mind; now is not the time."

<[DM]_Hatter> The spear's head slips through the nasal cavity of the rogue, causing a slight pressure block, which brings Lunos to his knees. As the spear slips through the bones of his spine, bursting through his back, and skewering organs along the spears shaft. Blood gushes from the rogue, coming into contact with the cold marble streets below "That was for shooting her... You filthy bastard..."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “I went back for the amulet... I made an agreement to keep it on my person... to... what has he done?!?”

* [PC]_Lystos 's eyes widen, and a look of horror appears across his face. "I've killed many a man, but... that was... excessive."

<[DM]_Hatter> The spear is only stopped by the marble street, embedding itself straight into the stone, leaving the slumped body of Lunos hanging, his weight held up by the spear alone. Vallanrus' feet finally reach the ground as he let go of the spear stepping back with his arms crossing "Filthy rogue..."

* [PC]_Cyenen turns from the scene before her and walks back toward the inn with a quick step. She pulls her cloak around her, hiding herself in the crowd, and wretches on the street, bending over, the amulet falling from her tunic. Leaving it behind she continues rushing towards the inn, trying to get away from the horrific scene

* [PC]_Lystos bows his head in a quick prayer to Pelor for his fallen comrade, his face still full of disgust. "Rest in peace, Lunos."

* [PC]_Adonis stops again at the sight of this grotesque... he bites his lip for a second in anger and shock of the death of a friend-to-become. A moment after, takes a deep breath, right before letting some words out, that he might not even have the chance to regret in the future.

* [PC]_Cyenen wretches on the street, bending over, the amulet falling from her tunic. Leaving it behind she continues rushing towards the inn, trying to get away from the horrific scene

<[PC]_Adonis> "How dare you to step your filthy feet on my lands, and shed blood on this festival day, you pathetic dragon!"

* [PC]_Adonis drops his hood, letting himself known to whomever is looking at him.

<[DM]_Hatter> Vallanrus waves his hand at Adonis' words as if he was dismissing them "My brother permits one death on the festival for me alone, I haven't done it in fifty five thousand human years. Its his decree to appease me when I get to the festival... Even the exiled are equals here."

<[PC]_Adonis> "You pathetic filth! So be it, may the souls you have taken 'till today, tore you and your company for eternity, by the name of Tiamat!"

* [PC]_Cyenen bangs on the door of the inn then realizes with distress that it has closed. She makes her way silently towards Lystos grabbing his arm, “I cannot stay here.”

* [PC]_Adonis turns his back and walks away into the crowd...

* [PC]_Lystos nods. "I agree. This dragon unsettles me. Let's be off. He takes one last look at Lunos' corpse before walking away. "I'm sorry, my friend."

<[DM]_Hatter> Vallanrus grasps his spear fully giving a mighty jerk standing 7'9" with a spear that was equal to ten solid feet of mithril "You speak Tiamat's name infront of a follower of Bahamut, I would suggest you watch your tongue - Prince."  as the spear slips from the marble - Lunos' body slumps onto the ground having the blood rush out onto the street as he starts his walk after Cyenen "Cyenen, I am here for you..." his tongue was swift as he yells the words.

* [PC]_Cyenen grasps onto Lystos tighter...” we.. must... RUN. Asca!!!" (haste!!!)

* [PC]_Lystos glances between the dragon and his friend. "Right with you."

* [PC]_Cyenen turns from the scene and pushes through the crowd, trying to get to an open space

* [PC]_Lystos stays directly behind Cyenen as she runs, and shouts back to Adonis "ADONIS! COME!"

<[DM]_Hatter> Vallanrus let out a heavy sigh as he turns to the body of lunos with a grin, grasping onto the human's arm with a swift jerk ripping a single arm off of the body. "This will be nice... Inexpensive too..." as his words fluidly form, a small flame bathes the arm rending all of the cloth from it giving it a charred cooked look

* [PC]_Cyenen starts to shake her hands quivering in fear, pushing through the crowd, “SELUNE! TUA AMIN! TUA AMIN!” (selune, help me! help me!)

<[PC]_Adonis> Upon the bitter regroupation with an unwanted guest, overwhelmed by emotions, and carelessly, Adonis's gonna end up revolving in the main festival plaza, his mask unrevealed and the night upon him.

* [PC]_Cyenen pushes the crowd more, shaking harder then turns to Lystos “I cannot keep my form! you must get out of here! I have-- *falling to her knees Cyenen convulses, tearing her tunic off she shifts into her wolf form, accepting her birthrite and wheeling on the spot, running through the legs of the crowd

* [PC]_Lystos stares in confusion. "...I'm rather glad this festival might only happen once in my lifetime." He escapes the crowd and hugs a wall, making his way down the street and away from the brutal scene.

* [PC]_Cyenen continues running, her paws hitting the pavement, weaving in and out of the crowd, ducking into an alley and into shadow

<[DM]_Hatter> The main festival plaza was one to remark with a huge circle of people around the main-square, dancing was done ritually for whatever gods were being worshipped, every god seems to be pleased by the dancing of this time - Even Bahamut. The Princess sat upon her rightly seat behind the circle alone with her eyes gazing around the court "My first Dragon festival... This is quite... Odd..."

* [PC]_Lystos stops mid-step. "Damn. Cyenen *will* need her things again, won't she? Her clothes, for example..." Reluctantly, he turns around and heads back to the spot where she changed forms.

* [PC]_Cyenen shivers in shadow, whimpering to herself, waiting for her fear and anger to subside... she woudl have to wait it out... and hope he would be gone when she took to her true shape again.

* [PC]_Lystos stares out into the crowd from whence he came. "You can do this... Just a few people..." He breathes deeply, and dives into the crowd. Luckily, Cyenen's belongings are still at their original spot. He picks them up and makes his way out of the crowd slowly, but surely. "*Sigh* Easy."

* [PC]_Cyenen cowers in shadow and keeps her head down on her paws watching the feet of the passerby as others enjoy the festival and thinks to herself “What have i brought upon me?”

* [PC]_Lystos sidles his way back along the wall to the front of the hotel, still carrying Cyenen's things. He tries the inn door, to no avail. "Hmm. Locked." Slowly, he takes a seat on the stoop of the inn, and sets Cyenen's things to one side. "The day has only started, and I've seen more than I care to see in my lifetime..."

     ****Meanwhile*****

* [PC]_Adonis not close but not far, leaning towards a wall, maybe a pillar, continues to stare into the dance lost in thoughts.

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal rises from her rightful seat leaning over slowly with a glimpse of the coward to go on, she moves slowly through the crowd taking slow steps in her gown "Damned dress, Damned heels, damned crown..." her groans were loud as she walks with a single click per step as her shoes were made of a solid crystaline slat "Damn Father..."

* [PC]_Adoni continues to stay on his very own spot as a statue made of ice. "...an aggreement."

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal lets out a loud swear as she leans over taking off both of her crystaline heels and placing bare foot onto the pavement "I will NOT do this again..." as she slowly continued her walk to Adonis with abit more haste without the damned shoes on. "I will make him see... I'll make him see..."

<[PC]_Adoni> *blindfull noticing the scene happening right infront of him, unable to keep his focus on his anger, Adonis gives a smirk, amused, and takes a step towards the princess.

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal makes a quick run for Adonis, grabbing him by the collar of his robes with an darkened angry look on her face as she pulls him close to her "YOU!"

* [PC]_Adonis backs off quickly, manuevering the princess' hands, and holding one as he bows "My princess, will you let thy hand to be held mine, and grant upon me thy first dance, once more for the festival this time??"

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal jerks her hand away from Adonis giving him a dead stare with glaring eyes "I want you to either get on your damn ship and leave or stage a kidnapping of me. I do not speak your royal slithery tongue." her grin widens as her eyes show a simple scheme

* [PC]_Adonis staggers upon hearing the Princess' words... "A what?!"

<[PC]_Adoni> "Are you telling me that you want to go off this island, with me?? While I'm even thinking of staying here, on your side, alive or as a sacrife to Tiamat, just to dying prayer to curse that filthy Vallnarus??"

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal mocks Adonis' words with a simple hand gesture then gives his cold hard stare "You WILL kidnap me or are you just the coward whom never gets action done, my little prince?

<[PC]_Adoni> "What a festival..." *grabs the princess and runs into one of the side streets.*

<[DM]_Hatter> The princess gives a disgruntled laugh with the running "You are such a coward, not even willing to carry your own captive out to your ship! How pathetic!"

<[PC]_Adonis> "Quiet, when was the last time you saw someone who's willing to be kidnapped? You wanted, now you have to run."

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal growls heavily, bawling her fist up and taking a heavy swing for the back of Adonis' head with rage "YOU DARE TALK BACK, YOU COWARDLY BASTARD!"

<[DM]_Hatter> -r d20+2 Fist to Head

<Dicebot> [DM]_Hatter rolled d20+2 Fist to Head --> [ 1d20=2 ]{4}

<[DM]_Hatter> Her fist breezes by the back of Adonis' head as many pronfanic words flew out of her mouth in the draconic tongue growling at her own aim "Bahamut shall have your head when you stop running!!"

<[PC]_Adonis> Stops abruptly, dodging the fist. Then gracefully turns in his place, and grabs the princess from her belly, landing on his shoulder to carry. "You have to make everything hard, don't you!"

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal lets out a small giggle after being lifted relaxing her body against his shoulder "I am a princess, a dragon-kin princess... I tend to make lives difficult."

<[DM]_Hatter> The sounds of music fade away as the stars rise up onto the sky, the guards move inward of the city to prepare around the castle as if a great happening was to be taking place. The people vacate the outer-city leaving the entire market, docks and even the main gardens are devoid of life.

* [PC]_Lystos , still sitting on the stoop of the inn, gazes out into the crowd.

* [PC]_Cyenen whimpers in the shadows, then stands up, shaking the dirt from her fur

<[PC]_Lystos> "I swear, this adventure will be the death of me... first the pirates, then Vallanrus, then Adonis, then Vallanrus *again*."

* [PC]_Lystos , grabbing Cyenen's things, stands up.

* [PC]_Cyenen walks out from her alley, and spots Lystos, trotting over to him

* [PC]_Lystos glances down to the wolf, bearing Cyenen's scar. "Hello, there."

<[DM]_Hatter> A single guard approaches Lystos with a smile and a cup of ale greeting him "Hello, Foreigner... Why are you not at the castle square watching the King's rebirth?"

* [PC]_Lystos glances up to the guard. "Rebirth?"

* [PC]_Cyenen takes her things from lystos hand and moves into shadow, shifting back into her elven form, and dressing quickly

* [PC]_Cyenen reappears, and addresses the guard.

<[DM]_Hatter> "Its just a show of power, Vallanrus ruined it last festival by showing his birthing mark that overtook the King's even though he wasn't suppose to be arriving for another ten festivals..."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “We were on our way just now sir. Please, excuse our tardiness.”

* [PC]_Lystos eyes Cyenen and whispers "Very quick. You've practiced."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “I have had to be.”

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Now, shall we be on our way?”

* [PC]_Lystos nods "Yes, indeed."

* [PC]_Lystos motions Cyenen to walk with him as he heads for the castle square.

* [PC]_Cyenen takes Lystos arm and walks towards the ceremony speaking quickly “I do not know what happened earlier, or why. I know that Lunos is dead, and I am assuming that dragon is still around. I do not have the trinket he gave me... I dropped it, and I have no intention of finding it again”

<[PC]_Lystos> "Yes, Lunos... I'm sorry that you had to witness that." He glances from the road ahead to Cyenen. "The medallion? Why? It is the only thing that allowed us to find out Adonis' true motives. It could be very useful."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Well, i could not exactly hold onto it now, could I? I was too busy fleeing that stupid dragon. I hate being a coward... But Adonis and his actions are of no consequence to me.”

<[PC]_Lystos> "Well, there is a difference between cowardice and self-preservation. Vallanrus is dangerous. There is no doubt about that...You were right to run. There is no  shame in that."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “There is plenty of shame. I should not have run.”

<[PC]_Lystos> "I do not see any, but your reasons are your own. I will not question."

* [PC]_Lystos gazes around. "This place is... different. Much different than any I've ever seen."

<[PC]_Cyenen> "It is different. When Elves and dragonkin combine, you get something that cannot be seen anywhere else.We are kindred species... we were made to coexist. It is natural for us to do so."

<[DM]_Hatter> The Castle garden, filled with many statues of forgotten - dead - ancient - in some cases, exiled kings and brothers are seen throughout the vast garden. The castle itself is made of full marble and mithril bindings as the flags of each dragon race is hung clearly over its side proving its diversity. The crowd around the garden, all stood in silence as the King's right of birth had begun. A bright light acting like a beacon of sorts shining overtop of the King as his speech continues "My people, My friends, My brothers! We have gathered to witness the growing of our peoples and our allowance & tolerance of other races!"

* [PC]_Cyenen stands keeping her eyes trained on the king, paying him respect

* [PC]_Lystos 's eyes dart around the square as the king speaks, taking in the different shapes and sizes of the dragonkin, and the intricate surroundings. "So much variety. It is a rather... beautiful place."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Of course it is... it was made to be beautiful..”

* [PC]_Lystos snaps out of his trance and focuses on the king.

<[DM]_Hatter> "The people of this land entrusted me with the power of the kings, to rule over this land and bring peace to it! I exiled Vallanrus the Damned for bringing turmoil to this land! I slain the monsters that infested our streets and I personally saw to the reconstruction of this beautiful town!" The air around the king begins to spin violently his words echo throughout the island "Let us be one! Let us bring our enemies, our friends and our relatives together for this one moment!" The King stomps the ground a single time, sending shockwaves throughout the garden and minor tremors throughout the island as if an earthquake had struck and its epicenter was the castle "NOW! Those who oppose me, trimble before my power! Those who are with me, bring your ale, bring your loved ones, bring yourselves into the castle! We shall feast until none can stand!" As the shockwave ended, and no one had fallen, proving loyalty to the king himself - the crowds reacted to the words feast, and rushing into the castle was the main focus as thousands of people were rushing in. The guards focused them into a single file line which would take hours if not days to just get inside.

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Come lystos. it is time to celebrate!”

* [PC]_Lystos sighs. "I love a good party."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Aye.”

* [PC]_Lystos smirks at Cyenen. "Come. We drink."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Yes. We shall do that. I believe the day has called for a good ale and a close friend, dont you?”

* [PC]_Lystos nods heavily. "Amen." He grabs a mug of ale. "I propose that the first toast be to the memory of Lunos. Surely, he was quiet. Surely, he tried to kill you. But I'll be thrice-dmaned if he didn't pay for all of our food and lodging."

<[DM]_Hatter> Servants sweep out of the castle with plates of food, a few of them carrying large kegs of ale to the garden while the crowd ignores them, still trying to get into the castle."Foreigners are not allowed within the castle! We carter to the foreigners! Who be the foreigners!"

* [PC]_Cyenen raises her glass to the kin walking toward them, then taps her mug against Lystos', muttering To lunos...”

* [PC]_Lystos glances around the room. "Dragonkin are so... so... odd-- this is not just ale, is it?" As he looks at the liquid in his mug. "Strong stuff."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “It was made by dragon kin, what do you expect?”

<[PC]_Lystos> "...You *do* have a point, there." He glances around. "Where's the aristocrat? I thought that he, of all people, would be here before we were..."

* [PC]_Cyenen shrugs “Off getting himself into trouble I suppose. afterall, he has a talent for doing that it seems.”

<[PC]_Lystos> "Yes, it seems to be his lot in life. Still, though, he *does* kill the monotony. ...and by 'kill,' I mean 'shatter into a thousand tiny pieces." He takes a large swig of his triple-brewed ale.

<[PC]_Cyenen> “and by that, we seem to be the ones picking them up. I just hope we do not run into Vallanrus again... I would rather enjoy keeping this down..."*swirls the ale in her mug*

<[PC]_Lystos> "True enough. I would advise against speaking his name, though. They... the dragonkin... do not seem to enjoy it very much. He finishes his mug and motions a server over. "More of this lot, please, if you'd be so kind."

* [PC]_Cyenen takes another sip of her ale. “It seems that we shall need to find a away out of here int he morning. where do you suppose we go?”

<[PC]_Lystos> "Hmm. That seems to be the question of the day, does it not? Where *do* we go? It seems that every time we set foot on a ship,

<[DM]_Hatter> The servent swiftly moves over to the man with the keg, refilling his glass with a turn of the handle swiftly then jerking it back around with a grin "The castle district will be closing soon for the night... I will have the rest of the kegs and food delievered to a ship if you have one."

something bad happens. The next one will likely burst into flames."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Aye, it seems we have had some bad luck upon us. We should try to accomodate another ship while we are here though... it seems ours is in disrepair... and a crew would be helpful... ours seems to be at the bottom of the ocean” *takes another drink from her glass*

* [PC]_Lystos turns to the server. "Oh, yes, that'd be lovely, many thanks." He smiles a genuine smile. "We are moored near the inn. The ship that looks.... different from the others. You'll know it when you see it."

* [PC]_Lystos turns back to Cyenen. "Oh... you are quite right."

<[DM]_Hatter> The servent gives the couple a look with a smile "This is the night of feasting and gifting, I shall have a crew and the food for your ship gifted as part of our welcome."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Many thanks... but if you will, is there a place in this wondrous city that can repair a ship?”

<[DM]_Hatter> The servent touches his chin for a moment "The crew can fix the ship if I ask kindly enough..."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “It would be much appreciated kind sir.. we have been through troubled times..”

* [PC]_Lystos turns back to the server. "Yes, and I trust more of this ale will be delivered with the food?"

<[DM]_Hatter> The servent bows gracefully while balancing the large keg on the back of his hand "I shall have twenty kegs and a months worth of food brought to your ship, is it the rather old ship infront of the Inn correct?"

<[PC]_Cyenen> “the one that looks like it has been in better times? yes. thats it!”

<[PC]_Lystos> "Yes, indeed that one! We owe you a great deal, my friend."

<[DM]_Hatter> The servent gives a loud whistle as fifteen of the servents rush from their orders picking up the kegs of ale...  some of them carrying two even three kegs at a time. Others carry a few large crates of food with ease. "The ship will have a crew by sunset, repairs shouldn't take until dawn. You are welcome to stay on your ship as the Inn isn't likely to open... She is a heavy drinker..."

<[PC]_Lystos> "Many thanks, my friend. Pelor's blessings be with you and your kind."

* [PC]_Cyenen sips the rest of her glass and puts it on the counter and stands “Yes, i believe that will be a good idea to go back to the ship. Lystos? Are you coming?”

* [PC]_Lystos turns to Cyenen, finishing his ale in three big gulps, and smiles. "Aaaaah. Right behind you." He takes Cyenen's arm as he begins walking down the cobblestone road, toward their ship.

* [PC]_Cyenen walks along with Lystos, enjoying the air, and the feeling buzzing through her brain... for once she was relaxed

* [PC]_Lystos draws his eyes across the cobblestone path and along the houses and businesses lining the street, passing the oddly-shaped people in the lamplit streets. "...What a day."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Aye. a dragon, a murder, a wolf, a party, good friends and ale. WHAT a Day!”

* [PC]_Lystos becomes lost in thought. He mumbles to Cyenen, "I truly hope this isn't the last I see of this marvelous island... Its beauty is captivating, and yet... terrifying. Like nowhere I've ever seen. Wonderful."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “It must be nice to see different kinds of people. To not be the only one who is different. You asked me about my kind... what about yours Lystos? I am afraid I was rather abrubt at our first meeting... I am sorry for that.”

<[PC]_Lystos> "No, it's fine. I do understand. There are not many half-elves in Ostia. Well, not anymore."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “What happened?”

<[PC]_Lystos> "If I'm honest, I cannot say. I was very young at the time, about seven years old. I lived with my mother and her clan of elves on the border of my country, Ostia, and our neighbor, Eldin. There were many border disputes, and when the fighting intensified, Eldin invaded us."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “The wars were hard back then... “

* [PC]_Lystos looks out over the rooftops. "They invaded our woods first. The only elven sanctuaries in the land were burned to the ground. My mother's... My village was hit first." He appears introspective. "...None survived but me."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “I am sorry...it must have been difficult..”

<[PC]_Lystos> "I was a misfit in their world, but they accepted me as though I was simply another elf. I do remember that much."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Elves are able to see past that..well... SOME elves are able tosee past being different. Some elves... are not so kind..”

* [PC]_Lystos sighs. "I'm sorry about that. Fate deals a harsh hand." After being silent for a moment, he adds, "I remember my mother, my training... but then everything moved so fast. I could not keep up. The Marquis took me in, and raised me as his own. In the end, it turn out, I *was* his own. But, I'm rambling. What about you? How did Cyenen become the elf she is today?"

<[PC]_Cyenen> “How do you mean? My life... my long life... I was born and forgotten. Another family of nobles took me in, but my cur- my birthrite, caused me to be an outcast with my people... soon, I was seen as a bad omen. I was cornered... and in defense... i killed one of my kin...I ran.. and... I hid for years... learning more about myself... but I can no longer stay in these lands... it has made life too difficult...”

<[PC]_Lystos> "So, you dislike elves. I take it that that is the reason that we never spoke before now?"

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Aye.. it is hard for me to trust my own kin.. I have been hurt badly. You know our kind do not suffer physical damge easily. Have you ever wondered about my scar?

* [PC]_Lystos is silent for a moment. "Yes, in fact, I have... I have never recieved such a grievous wound. That is the human bit of me making itself known, I believe. How did you get it?"

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Shortly after my century mark, a few of my kin... well. I was tortured, beaten.. I was different, for being born under the moon and recieving the birthrite. I was seen as a monster. It has never faded. I have been “marked” among my people. They know me by the scar I bear...”

<[PC]_Lystos> "That is a shame. You are most certainly not a monster, though some might see you to be."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Aye. I did not choose this life. But some may see me as such. I am sure the aristocrat does.”

<[PC]_Lystos> "He does not. He most certainly does not. He cares for you, though it might be hard to believe. I am sure that if you ask, he will deny, but when you speak to him next, keep my words in mind."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “He cares for his wife.”

<[PC]_Lystos> "He *thinks* that he cares for his wife. I have seen many a lovestruck man in my day, and he is definitely in the category. As I've said, it is a difficult thing to spot, but it is there."

* [PC]_Cyenen looks at the stars glimmering in the darkness “There are many things that some cannot understand..”

<[PC]_Lystos> "It is all right. You will find your own path. I only ask you to hear my words. They could mean nothing to you. They could make a difference. Like life, they are only worth what you take from them."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Aye..I am afraid my life has meant little. That is another reason I left... i have to find someplace.. some where, that I can BE... and not be judged for it...”

* [PC]_Lystos stares out over the water, coming closer as the walk down the street. "You can *be* anywhere you please. If others judge you, then they are shallow-minded and weak."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “There are some things, that even the kindest person may find hard to accept. Murder.. shifting.. both high on the scale in my book”

<[PC]_Lystos> "Murder, yes. Murder is a terrible thing. Shifting - doing something that your body does naturally - that is no terrible thing. That is you. That is your essence. People may demonize you, and even attempt to harm you, simply because they do not understand."

<[PC]_Lystos> "That is the downfall of man."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “And elves. And dwarves, and any other race you can imagine.”

<[PC]_Lystos> "Yes. Do no thin kthat you are alone in making terrible decisions, though. In my past, I've had quite a bit of experience with... well, unpleasantries leading to violence. Fortunately, I have found a better path."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “And I am trying to find another one for myself... it is turning out to be quite a struggle.”

* [PC]_Lystos and Cyenen reach the docks. They walk along the carved, creaking planks and towards their ship. "Cyenen, I have confidence in you. Your soul is pure, though your past may be plagued. You will find your own path to tread. When you do, it will surprise you."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “I hope so... for this life I lead... I fear there has not been much hope. But come! it is a night of celebration! let us be merry!”

* [PC]_Adonis locks his gaze to those coming to the ship from at the railing of the ship, having his clothes back, not wearing a robe.

<[PC]_Lystos> "Indeed!" He and Cyenen reach their ship, the crates and kegs stacked upon the dock. He looks over to her. "I enjoyed our walk tonight, Cyenen. It was... very... revealing... Adonis??"

* [PC]_Adonis greets with a nod.

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Come Lystos! Let us have another drink!”

<[PC]_Lystos> "Ah, of course." He leaves her side and picks up a keg, carrying it onto the ship. "This is a fine ale." he says with a smile.

<[PC]_Cyenen> “It is!”

<[DM]_Hatter> A feminine voice from below the cabin yells to the upper deck "DID I HEAR SOMETHING ABOUT ALE?!?!"

* [PC]_Lystos drops the keg on the deck, as he hears the voice, and turns to Adonis.

* [PC]_Cyenen ‘s eyes widen in suprise

<[PC]_Lystos> "Adonis... What have you been doing while we were away?" He eyes him suspiciously.

* [PC]_Adonis stays still at the railing gazing into the nothingness, at the point where the night and the abyss of the sea collides. "Nothing at all."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Is there someone on the ship?”

<[PC]_Adonis> "The princess wanted me to kidnap her before I depart."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “The...princess..Your wife.."

* [PC]_Cyenen glances at Lystos with a look of I-told-you-so on her face

* [PC]_Lystos returns an "I-had-no-clue" look of confusion.

* [PC]_Adonis still his back turned against them, gazing to the same spot, anwers without showing an emotion but normalty "Indeed."

<[DM]_Hatter> Within the moment of a keg hitting the deck, the princess leaping up the stairs and through the door with a cry "Do not drop it!! Do not drop it!! Please, do not drop the ale!"

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Lystos, bring aboard more of that ale, by the looks of her, we might need more of it... “

* [PC]_Lystos turns to the princess. "What? Why?"

<[DM]_Hatter> She stands in Adonis' robe with a confused look being as it touches the ground quite abit "Cause! Its damn holy ale! Its brewed by the Vassals of Bahamut for the love of him!"

* [PC]_Lystos quickly picks up the keg. "Oh! Erm... Uh... I didn't know..."

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal gives a light giggle and waves her hand at him "Don't worry, the keg is stronger than both of us."

* [PC]_Adonis murmurs by himself...

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Adonis. A word. Please.”

<[PC]_Adonis> "Be my guest" *waves to the emptiness next to him with his hand, not moving much.*

* [PC]_Cyenen moves to his side and hisses into the darkness “You DO realize what you are doing? that every soldier form this island will be looking for her? You DO realize that the king is going to be quite the sore one about this. What have you brought upon us? WHAT have you DONE?”

<[PC]_Adonis> "I actually am not planning to stay after we reach Azure Bay. I'm gonna start searching ways to slay a dragon.nI hope you're still holding his pendant, so he could hear. Even it destroys my life, he's my sworn enemy. "

<[PC]_Cyenen> “YOU and that DRAGON! You do realize that, that god forsaken BEAST has nothing to do anymore? He is no loonger here! Check my person sir, the foul pendant that hath been given unto me was thrown after he killed one of OUR party! You are your stupid PRIDE. “

<[PC]_Adonis> "I have no desire to touch you, I'll take your word for it, even if it's a lie. You made an agreement, and I swore in the shadows, every living dragon is my enemy. The good one and the bad one."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “My agreement? Was to keep the blasted pendant if he could behave himself YOU FOOL! AND YOU SWORE TO THE SHADOWS.... no i believe not. You said it yourself sir, that was a LIE. Do not play with my mind.”

<[PC]_Adonis> "Oh pardon me, let me rephrase so you shall understand, I swore into my own shadow and my name."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Whatver you swore to, you are foolish. And your wife? What will you do with her?”

<[PC]_Adonis> "On a second though, I think the dragon is still watching you, no matter what, maybe if I threaten you, he might appear" *gazes her with two blue eyes with dark shadows moving below them*

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Go ahead. It seems like that is what you wanted all along.”

<[PC]_Adonis> "My what? The princess? I'm only honoring my oath, nothing more."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Your WIFE. She is your WIFE. and oath or not. GO ahead and threaten me. It seems all you wanted in the first place Adonis, I wont stop you.”

<[PC]_Adonis> "Can't you keep quiet once, and stay by my side but mock me?"

<[PC]_Cyenen> “What else is there to do! Mock you, HA, I speak truth!”

<[PC]_Adonis> "The truth you WANT to believe in. But isn't it, we all are the same, that's something you used to say, something you're stuck with. Unwilling to change it. Now, I'm unable to see anything that is important in this conversation, but meaningless quarrels over nothing. Please, have some rest."

<[PC]_Cyenen> "You are horrible." *She turns her back on him and walks away hiding her expression from Adonis.. one of pain.

<[PC]_Adonis> "...I guess I have no choice to keep people in distance..." *whispers to himself as he throws a coin into the sea*

* [PC]_Lystos brings the keg over to the princess. "These two need to speak, princess, and we must drink. Come. He heads past the princess, down to the lower deck, and his voice can be heard. "Now, where in hellfire did i put those mugs?..."

<[DM]_Hatter> She gazes as Lystos carries the keg down the deck and swiftly follows him grabbing him by the shoulder turning him around quickly "I have a confession to make and the coward must not know..."

* [PC]_Lystos appears confused. "Confession. All right, I am in the mood for confessions. Speak your mind."

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal leans up to his ear softly and whispers "Marriages cannot exist between a priestess of Bahamut and a man, we are vowed to marry Bahamut in spirit... He must not know for it would destroy him."

* [PC]_Lystos turns to the girl. "I... I understand. Not a word will be spoken to him about this, but why, then, keep up the ruse? Why allow him to speed you away? Do you dislike your land that fervently?"

<[DM]_Hatter> "My land is of Tiamat, I am a priestess of Bahamut - Tiamat's sworn enemy... I have to leave for my own safety..."

<[PC]_Lystos> "Ah. That makes a bit more sense. But just a bit. Surely, princess, if you'd be so kind, we would be honored if you would join us on our pleasure cruise of imminent doom. Adonis, or 'the coward,' as you call him, *did* tell you about the horrible danger that we face whenever we set foot on a ship, did he not?"

<[DM]_Hatter> "He did not tell me of such a thing... Dear lord, what should I do? Should I tell him or Should I hide behind the mask of false-hood and pray to Bahamut for forgiveness..?"

* [PC]_Lystos looks at the girl quickly, then turns his attention to the keg. "Ah, that is a decision to be made for another day. We will see you safely away from these lands first, princess..." He says this as he taps the keg and fills two mugs, passes one to the girl and smiles. "...Even if it kills us all."

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal lets a smile at him and takes a large drink from the mug easily emptying it as if it were merely a glass of water . She hands the mug back to him "If you could, dear friend?"

* [PC]_Lystos looks her up and down, wondering where all the liquor went. He smiles and nods in approval. "Most impressive. That *does* deserve another round." He pours her another and hands it to her.

* [PC]_Lystos starts to slug his own beer down, as the priestess did, but ends up with a nose full of foam, and chokes a bit.

* [PC]_Cyenen grabs a mug of ale and heads to her room, not staying for conversation but noticing Makal and Lystos drinking. She shits the door quietly, and drinks her ale.. then sits on the floor and cries, muttering

<[DM]_Hatter> Within the crow's nest, Vallanrus sits laying curled around the post with a smile "A secret told is a secret no more, they will do without me now that the path has been set... As for I, my days be numbered by Adonis... He and I shall meet one day to finish the business he wishes to have..."

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal takes the second glass more slowly as the effects of the first one begin to make her uneasy and her head lightens "Bah, Being born from an elven mother... Tis a curse, Ale makes us abit more drunk..." she snorts alittle at Lystos "Friend, you have to release your throat and just let it slide down."

* [PC]_Lystos shakes his head, recovering from the nose-foam. "...I did. This ale is my weakness, it seems." He slowly smiles as he looks at his mug. "I like it." He takes a big swig, satisfied with his inability to finish the drink in one go. "I simply need to train, that's all."*

[PC]_Lystos looks at Cyenen's cabin door. He can hear crying and elvish words coming from the room, but he dares not go in. He turns to the priestess and shrugs. "Does not like the choice of ale, it seems."

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal slowly stands up with abit of sway "I'm....going to go tell that bloody... coward... off..." she takes a step forward leaning on the table "Oh... My lord, help me to the deck... I wish to tell... not be sober for this..."

* [PC]_Lystos catches the wobbling girl. "Nonononono, no, no, princess you - *chuckle* - you do not want to do that in your condition."

<[DM]_Hatter> "I wish... to not be sober for it... He must know... Woo... This is an interesting sensation, never had a good mug of that in... years..." she leans heavily on Lystos "Take me to him..."

* [PC]_Lystos looks around the cabin, for a way out of this situation. He spots a nail poking out from one of the support beams. "Ah-ha... Maybe she *is* drunk enough..."

* [PC]_Adonis goes down to get a drink for himself, where Lystos and the princess are standing.

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal glares at Lystos with a sharpened glare "I am a priestess of bahamut, a princess of the dragons and elves and overall" her voices raises to the point of a full blown yell "HE ISN'T MY DAMNED HUSBAND! I CANNOT MARRY ANYONE BUT MY GOD!!"

<[PC]_Adonis> "Hmmm...That explains a lot. Let me help you."

* [PC]_Lystos , still holding the girl, turns to Adonis, who is now standing in front of them and chuckles "Uh, haha... um, she's very drunk, I think that was a lie..."

<[PC]_Adonis> "No, she should be correct. I'm relieved. Now, for I'm out of my bound, I have to deal with something else."

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal lets out a loud battle like cry as she attempts to headbutt Lystos within the close proximity "YOU dare say I lie?!?!"

* [PC]_Adonis takes the princess into his arms with force.

<[PC]_Adonis> "Now, for I'm a free man, I have nothing for this kingdom, and the crown. So I have to return something that's accidentally in our care."

* [PC]_Lystos recoils in haste as Adonis grabs Makal. "Feisty. I see why you married her... well, were going to marry her..."

* [PC]_Adonis slowly walks holding the princes in his arms, to the railing.

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal lets out a sharpened battle cry of bahamut "YOU SHALL NOT RETURN ME!" she cries as she bites into Adonis' shoulder "They will kill me for not taking Tiamat!!"

* [PC]_Lystos smiles and waves to the princess. "Have a pleasant evening, Makal!"

[PC]_Cyenen continues to cry, as she hears the ruckus coming from the other rooms onboard. Instead she downs the rest of her ale, and lays out across the floor, humming to herself quietly, the songs of her people...

<[PC]_Adonis> "I will kill you myself, for lying to me, using me, and especially MOCKING ME!"

<[PC]_Adonis> "I DON'T CARE! IF YOU DIE! ENOUGH OF YOU AND YOUR DRAGONS! AND BAHAMUT AND TIAMAT!"

* [PC]_Lystos shouts to Adonis. "Adonis, wait! Stop!"

<[DM]_Hatter> "Please... Do not let them kill me... As a living being... Forsake the gods, forsake the dragons, forsake them all... I do not want to die...."

<[PC]_Adonis> "Do you think, I have the slightest care for a dragon, for a god, for....YOU? After all you have done to me?"

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal looks onto him with eyes full of tears and sobbing "You do care for people... Maybe even gold..."

<[PC]_Adonis> "GOLD? PEOPLE? What gold? What people? I have none of them! This is your own fight! Not mine!"

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal grasps the rail tightly with her hands holding on tightly with all her might "PLEASE! Bahamut! SAVE ME!"

<[PC]_Adonis> "Oh! Bahamut will save you." *Adonis quickly gets the closes bucket of water and spalshes at Makals face.

<[PC]_Adonis> "Have some Bahamut"

* [PC]_Lystos walks up to Adonis. "Adonis. You, sir, are splashing her with water.... May I ask... why?"

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal falls forward soaked in the water sobbing on her knees as he must have stepped back for the bucket. The sobs were as if the world was ending around her and all her life was ending within the brief moments "I...dont...want...to die..."

<[PC]_Adonis> "Yes, I don't want a drunkard on my ship. Now, before I do the same on you, you better let go off me, and have some rest. I'll deal with this little snake."

<[PC]_Adonis> "Now you there, come. *picks up Makal once again, holding her in his arms* Let's deal with your clothes."

* [PC]_Lystos looks disbelievingly at Adonis. "You, my good man, have no idea how not drunk I am. Besides, she's a fun drinking partner. And besides, when did it become *your* ship, anyway?"

* [PC]_Cyenen sobs quietly, and sings the calming songs of her people, letting her grief fill her

* [PC]_Adonis gives Lystos a look written in his eyes "Don't"

<[PC]_Lystos> "I speak the truth, friend. Do not become hasty with me; *you* are the one who is undressing the priestess. Let her have your coat. It's cold out tonight."

<[PC]_Adonis> *as he carries the priestess* "I have seen enough of her already, and I'm not planning to see more. I'll handle this. "

* [PC]_Lystos shouts after him, "Well, then at least let her live, you inconsiderate arisotcrat! And be back by sunrise! You know how we worry..."

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal grasps onto the tunic of Adonis ""I will do any task needed of me, I'll sully my own name, I'll tend your wounded - heal....your sick.... and cure your poisons... Just don't let them kill me..." her words broken by the sobs in between.

* [PC]_Adonis kicks the door open of the cabinet.

* [PC]_Lystos returns downstairs to the lonely, only-partly-full keg. He sighs and throws his hands up. "Now who will I drink with?"

<[PC]_Adonis> "Look, I had a bad day- No, a bad month, all because of you." *sits her down on the bed, and turns his back to get a blanket* "Now, really, I rather die than being cured in your hands. Everyone knows about my name, and I'm a disgrace to my family. And you're telling me to help you, because you don't want to die?"

* [PC]_Adonis covers her with a blanket then gets the robe without looking just as before.

* [PC]_Lystos grabs another pint of ale and walks to the captain's stateroom, lying down on the bed and putting the drink on the nightstand. "Yes, this is a good spot." He stretches his long legs across the bed. "Yes... very good."

<[DM]_Hatter> "You...you...you...were going to kill...me...me..." Makal keeps her gaze on the floor as if she was too afraid to look at him directly "I...I...am a good...healer... I...promise..."

<[PC]_Adonis> "PROMISE ME WHAT!" *growls all of a sudden meanwhile he hangs the robe* "To save your life, I'm gonna endanger my own, ONCE MORE! WHY or for WHO actually. What importance do you have for me?"

<[DM]_Hatter> "That...that...I am a good healer..." she pulls her knees up to her chest with her head resting into them pulling the blanket around her "I...do not know...I made Father stop...hunting you... Thats all I could do..."

* [PC]_Adonis gives out a spirited laugh.

<[PC]_Adonis> "And, she's gonna come after you, and find....ME!"

<[DM]_Hatter> "He...He does not know...you were there... He does not know anything..."

<[PC]_Adonis> "You know what, you win. The ship, your life, your freedom. Everything is yours. I'm leaving. I'm gonna have an audience with the king, if I could stay alive that long. After you all leave the docks."

* [PC]_Adonis opens the door while getting his coat from the chair, and exits. "Not a coward, but a FOOL! Nothing else but a fool!"

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal bolts from the bed leaving the blanket wearing only the underclothing she had left on "I DO NOT WANT EVERYTHING! I JUST WANT TO LIVE WHERE I AM WANTED! YOUR FRIEND LIKES ME! HE IS THE ONLY ONE!!!"

* [PC]_Adonis stops at the doorstep.

<[PC]_Adonis> "My friend likes you? Oh that's how you were gonna return my kindness, I see. Since you think it wasn't meant for you. So be it." He walks out and slams the door behind himself.

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal makes a dead run for the door being sobered by the water and the events throwing the door open screaming "I just want to be free!!! I do not want you to die to my father, thats why I kept you AWAY from here and yet you stayed!! I TRIED TO TELL YOU NOT TO COME BACK!!!"

* [PC]_Adonis deaf to the words wailing in the air, slowly steps down to the dock, to stay at the inn. "...free....what a lie...you could've run with me..." he mutters so no one can hear him.

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal walks back inside the ship falling onto the steps sobbing "I killed him... I killed him...."

* [PC]_Lystos 's head exits the stateroom. "What in hellfire's going on out here?" as he sees Makal. "...Drinking buddy? You've returned?"

<[DM]_Hatter> "He...He... is gone... He is going to see my father... He is dead... He is going to die..."

* [PC]_Lystos walks over to Makal, kneeling next to her. "Who's going to die? Who are you ta-- Adonis." He turns his head, looking for his compatriot.

<[DM]_Hatter> "Adonis... He is going to die... He is going to die..."

* [PC]_Cyenen pulls herself into a sitting position, and wraps her arms around her legs, finding no more strength to sob. She would deal with his choice, no matter which on he chose... no matter how much it pained her to do it... upon hearing the words “He is going to see my father... He is dead... He is going to die..." she rises from her position on the floor and exits her cabin quietly, and walks into the room to see the priestess and Lystos, “What has happened. What is going on?”

* [PC]_Lystos turns to Cyenen. "Did you hear this? It seems Adonis is walking to his doom."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “He is doing what?”

<[PC]_Lystos> "What do we do? She is not being very descriptive..."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “...Makal. Look at me.” You cannot hide here like a coward. Do you want Adonis to die? YOU MUST speak to your father. Life is worth too much to be based on foolish lies. Life is worth too much to pain someone on purpose. Do you understand? Adonis WILL die if you do not do something.”

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal looks up at Cyenen "I kill him... I kill him... He is gone..." her words become less and less formed as she becomes less coherent about the tramua she has caused being a priestess, she had never dealt with such a thing before - never dealt with the loss.

* [PC]_Cyenen pulls Makal to her feet “LOOK AT ME!” Do you want Adonis to die!? Do you?"

* [PC]_Lystos climbs to his feet and hols the shoulders of Makal

<[PC]_Lystos> "Cyenen, please, she's in no shape to be coherent."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “We have NO TIME” This needs to be done, and done NOW”

<[PC]_Lystos> "Then follow Adonis. See where he goes. Do not worry, I will be right behind you."

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal doesn't respond with her shaking from the sobbing "I kill him... I...I....I"

* [PC]_Cyenen leaves the room, and and gets onto the deck, running from the gangplank

* [PC]_Lystos picks up the sobbing girl and lays her on the bed in the stateroom. "I'm giving up my bed for this girl... What am I thinking? He says a quick prayer her. "Pelor keep you, priestess." He dashes up the stairs to follow Cyenen.

* [PC]_Cyenen looks around for any sign of Adonis, scanning the area

* [PC]_Cyenen whispers to Lystos “we have to find him...”

* [PC]_Cyenen sits on the pavement unable to hear or see or track anything

<[PC]_Cyenen> “I have lost him...”

<[PC]_Lystos> "Hmm. If your tracking skills cannot locate him, mine have no chance."

* [PC]_Lystos takes a seat next to Cyenen.

<[PC]_Lystos> "You have not failed him. If anything, he has failed us. He let his ego get the better of him. Besides, he is not dead just yet. Therefore, hope remains."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “If he goes through with it.. he will surely die!mAnd with his pride... he will not stop.. there is nothing that can bring him back now.”

<[PC]_Adonis> A growl comes from the lookout from the top of the must, strong enough to scare the sun for month rips the night apart, clearly Adonis's voice. "GET THE BLOODY HELL OUT OF MY SHIP YOU GOD FORSAKEN FILTH!"

* [PC]_Cyenen jerks her head towards the noise

* [PC]_Lystos pats Cyenen on the shoulder, then looks up at the noise.

* [PC]_Cyenen looks at Lystos

* [PC]_Lystos looks at Cyenen

<[PC]_Cyenen> “The ship... he is on the ship..” She gets up from her spot on the cobblestones, and begins to run

<[PC]_Lystos> "My cloak! He's going to destroy it!" He runs after Cyenen.

<[DM]_Hatter> Vallanrus jumps starled by the noise from his nap "BAHAMUT BE DAMNED! You bastard! I was going to leave at sunrise!" Vallanrus grumbles as he raises up touching the medallion his neck and within a simple flash of light that filled the night sky and shook the waters, Vallanrus was gone.

* [PC]_Cyenen runs faster seeing the illumination, and boards the gangplank looking around “ADONIS?!?!?!!”

<[PC]_Adonis> "DO NOT DARE TO SHOW YOUR PATHETIC FACE EVER AGAIN ON MY SHIP!"

* [PC]_Lystos runs up the plank, and stops for a moment on the deck. "What did I tell you about calling this *your* ship?"

<[PC]_Cyenen> “ADONIS!?!?”

<[PC]_Lystos> "...It's *OUR* ship!"

<[PC]_Adonis> "WHAT!" *growls upon being called* "I have enough! ENOUGH! EEEENOUGH OF EVERYTHING!!!!!!"

* [PC]_Cyenen looks at Lystos “Be calm."

* [PC]_Lystos returns the look for just a moment. "...well, it is."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Humor me.”

* [PC]_Adonis climbs down slowly as flickering shadows vanishes dancing around him.

* [PC]_Lystos sees Adonis' descent and becomes relieved. "Good, just come on down. That's it."

* [PC]_Cyenen walks slowly towards Adonis

* [PC]_Adonis stops midway, turning on the net hanging down the mast, gazing below. "Now what? All I wanted you all to rest a while!! *he hops down.

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Rest is not what I needed. I got anything BUT rest.”

<[PC]_Lystos> "Yes, we were worried. We feared you had gone to confront the king."

* [PC]_Cyenen stares at him through bloodshot eyes, preparing herself to say something spiteful, but decides against it “We... thought we were going to lose another companion here...”

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal rises from the bed with the cloak wrapped around her with the scent of fondness around her "...I hear him..." she stands from the bed slowly making a small stepping walk to the steps and the deck where she sees the party and smiles some "I...thought I killed him..." she falls to her knees within the moment and straight on the deck

* [PC]_Lystos sees Makal wrapped in his cloak, on her knees. "One moment, my friends."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “I am glad you are safe. *eyes the priestess, and walks back towards her cabin, realizing again... “Detho lalle” (his choice)

<[PC]_Adonis> "You've gained one, an usefull one. A good one. A good liar. *turns at Makal, pointing at her* And you don't dare to speak of my well being, for you don't even care about ME!" Now will you all have a rest?"

<[PC]_Cyenen> “I am glad you are safe. *eyes the priestess, and walks back towards her cabin, realizing again... “Detho lalle” (his choice) and responds to him “I doubt I could...”

* [PC]_Lystos turns slowly to Adonis. "You have got quite a nerve."

* [PC]_Cyenen enters her cabin once more, content to sit and ponder, grieve without tears, and think. She holds her face in her hands, trying to calm herself from the turmoil inside of her... “Tanya nae n'quel e amin” (this cannot end well for me)

* [PC]_Lystos turns back to Makal. "Come on, Let's get you into a bed. You need sleep."

<[DM]_Hatter> "He... He... thinks I do... not... care..." Makal looks onto the deck "I... I am a... horrid...priestess..."

* [PC]_Adonis looks around to be sure that everyone's gone, to vanish back into the shadows.

* [PC]_Lystos tries to comfort her. "There, there, it will be all right." He turns back and looks at Adonis before he vanishes, but does not say a word. He guides the girl to an empty bed and lays her down in it, his cloak still around her. "Keep her safe tonight, cloak." Then he returns to the captain's stateroom to discover his mug of ale, realizing that the mug is empty. "Heh... damn girl drank my liquor. What a friend." He lays on the bed, attempting to get some sleep, but he knows the night will be restless.

holds her face in her hands, trying to calm herself from the turmoil inside of her... “Tanya nae n'quel e amin” (this cannot end well for me)

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal finally eases into a slumber from the emotional rollercoast and mostly due to the alcohol consumption catching up to her metabolism.

* [PC]_Adonis spends the most of the night, walking around in the empty streets of island, trying to find a solution, maybe what to do about his life, having to bounds, now as a freeman, betrayed by the only place where his loyalty was lying, as lost as a grain of sand in the sea.

<[DM]_Hatter> The sun's gaze reveals over the ocean's horizon as the draconic festival comes to a close, the sun rises up beyond the ocean's edge to show the surroundings in a brighter fashion, the crew that was ordered to work the ship was an all-human crew and the noises of construction repairs being done on the boat would be enough to wake the dead if it were on the boat.

* [PC]_Lystos rumbles lazily out of his slumber. "Hmm," he mutters, "It seems that I did not consume enough alcohol last night. I can remember everything..." He moves out from the cabin slowly, almost zombie-like. He stretches, and remembers where his trusty green cloak went, and shambles his way over to Makal's stateroom, and opens the door.

* [PC]_Cyenen rises from her place on the floor, slightly stiff from not moving from her place all night. Leaving her cabin she nods to the crew, and stands at the Bow of the ship, looking over the water

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal's slumber has been undisturbed by the working, it is as if she was dead to the world and only the gods could awaken her.

* [PC]_Cyenen looks up into the sky, gazing at the clouds, and the sea, the horizons seeming to meet in a strati line, off in the distance, but decides to find Lystos. Going below deck she calls his name softly.

* [PC]_Lystos lifts his cloak from her small body without waking her, and turns quickly to look at Cyenen. "Haha," he whispers, "I've gotten my cloak back." and tiptoes out of the room and slowly closes the door.

<[PC]_Cyenen> “I see that. Lucky man. I was wondering what to tell the crew... when do we set sail?”

<[PC]_Lystos> "As soon as bloody possible," he says, wrapping himself in his trusty cover once again.

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Where is Adonis?”

<[PC]_Lystos> "I was about to ask you the same thing. We cannot depart without him..."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “No. We cannot. I will be back. Make the crew ready for when we return.”

* [PC]_Lystos nods. "Surely."

* [PC]_Cyenen walks off the ship and down the gangplank, hopefully entering the city for the last time

* [PC]_Lystos goes above deck with Cyenen, then breaks off to address the crew; walking about the upper deck, which is veritably crawling with crewmen, fixing sails and swabbing decks. He makes his way to the pram in the center of the ship and gives a sharp whistle.

<[DM]_Hatter> One of the human crew members becomes startled by the whistle itself and letting go of the ropes falling straight onto the deck - flat on his back.

<[PC]_Lystos> "Ouch. Sorry about that, somebody see to that man. All right, crew! Listen and listen well! As soon as our compatriots return, we set sail! We sail, and we do not stop until we are across the horizon from this island! Do I make myself clear?!

<[DM]_Hatter> All of the crew members "Yes sir! Off of this hell hole!"

<[PC]_Lystos> "Right! Good lads! Be ready at any moment! That goes for you too, falling-man!"

<[DM]_Hatter> The man laying on the ground lets out a groan "Yes...sir... No more whistles, Please."

* [PC]_Lystos returns below decks and grabs his mug. "Now, to partake of that mug that I never finished last night... Sweet, sweet ale."

      ****The Captain's Cabin****

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal slowly arrouses from her slumber, her eyes opening to an extent to gaze at Adonis sitting on the stool behind the door and she raises up some going towards the corner of the bed nearest the wall "Adonis..."

<[PC]_Adonis> "Good morning." He gets up from his spot, and goes next to bed, crouching so he is at her level.

* [PC]_Lystos hears words coming from Makal's room, and leans against the doorsill, sipping his ale.

<[DM]_Hatter> "Last night... You were going to throw me off of the ship cause of my bond to my god and marriage..."

<[PC]_Adonis> "That didn't happen."

<[DM]_Hatter> "I didn't drink that much... I remember the kind man calling me his drinking buddy and and and-"

* [PC]_Lystos tilts his head and mutters, "Didn't happen? Really."

<[PC]_Adonis> "No evasdropping please. Not to mention entering the room without even knocking the door before. Now will you excuse us?" *turns back to Makal* "I didn't throw you. That's what I meant.

* [PC]_Lystos snickers and walks above deck with his mug.

<[DM]_Hatter> "I will accept that answer... I resign my crown and will stay... to be free of the bonds of royalty and wish to just... See whats outside..."

<[PC]_Adonis> "And I've tried to stay alive, to be free, holding on the only real thing I've had, just to see you once again to hear that all was a lie?"

<[DM]_Hatter> "To be royal means to deceive, I am tired of betraying Bahamut... I was doing everything according to Father's wishes and he wanted me to capture you & bring you to the ritual site which is beyond my god's allowance..."

<[PC]_Adonis> "Wish you would've done that...*stares coldly*At least I'd die a fool without the pain in my chest..*pauses for a moment* You've chosen your god over me, gods I've always despised... be free my princess. This ship belongs to them, I claim no property over what belongs to a pirate, but mere words."

* [PC]_Adonis stands up and slowly reaches the door to exit the room.

<[DM]_Hatter> "I am not a princess anymore..." Makal stares at the floor "I am just a priestess..."

<[PC]_Adonis> "Thank you for explaining me what's happened, in my eyes, you're nothing but a liar, a betrayer, not even worty of your own god as a priestess, not even as a princess for your kingdom."

* [PC]_Adonis calmly opens the door, and goes out.

<[DM]_Hatter> "Thank you for reinforcing my self-loathing a bit further..." Makal lets out a soft cry "My drinking friend!! Bring me a drink, please!!"

* [PC]_Cyenen searches the city, to no avail. She Gives up and decides to leave Adonis. “If he wants to stay on this rock? So be it.”

* [PC]_Lystos hears Makal fromabove deck. "My cue!"

<[PC]_Adonis> "Lystos, go, the liar priestess calls for you."

<[PC]_Lystos> "I certainly will, thank you." He seems happy with his mug.

* [PC]_Cyenen searches the city, to no avail. She Gives up and decides to leave Adonis. “If he wants to stay on this rock? So be it.” She makes her way back to the ship, and boards the gangplank, heading towards her Cabin calling “Lystos. Be free of this rock! SAIL!”

<[PC]_Lystos> "Oh, right."

* [PC]_Lystos lets out a sharp whistle.

* [PC]_Adonis goes to the railing.

<[DM]_Hatter> The crewmen pop their heads up "Yes sir!?"

<[PC]_Lystos> "WE SAIL! Helmsmen, take us out!

* [PC]_Cyenen sits in her cabin, and places her head in her hands once again, content to ponder, wait, and think. It seemed that courage she had, but patience... she lacked.

* [PC]_Adonis goes to the railing. "Have a safe trip! May the winds fill your sails. Fare thee well." He quickly walks down the plank before the ship takes off.*

<[DM]_Hatter> The crewmen begin their trot up the gang-plank as the rest hit for the sails and the helmsman just sighs "...Are we to wait on him?"

* [PC]_Lystos walks over to the railing. "Let me ask."

<[PC]_Lystos> "Adonis, you seem to be lacking a proper sailing vessel. We have quite a good one right here. Can we interest you in a ride?"

<[PC]_Adonis> "Oi! I guess I am going to try and make myself a little raft, just as I was thinking of when I washed over the shore on the last island, before meeting the dragons madness."

<[PC]_Lystos> "So, you are staying, because she is coming. You, sir, make no sense."

<[PC]_Adonis> "Indeed."

* [PC]_Lystos sighs. "What can we do? She wants to leave, and you are simply being belligerent. I'm afraid, sir, that this may be goodbye."

<[PC]_Adonis> "Remember when you were doubting, about how to believe in me? I tell you, I've lost my faith in that woman, after all she's done. But this is a long talk. I'm gonna try to sell a few piece I have, maybe I can buy myself a wizards service."

* [PC]_Cyenen gets up from her spot in her cabin and comes out on the deck, curious at why the ship was not moving.

* [PC]_Lystos turns to Cyenen. "Unless someone would like to speak with you."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Lystos what is goi-- Ah. the aristocrat strikes again.”

* [PC]_Cyenen sighs

* [PC]_Lystos whispers to Cyenen. "Talk to him. You're the only hope."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Adonis. We began this as a party. We are either going to END it as one, or we are not going anywhere. YOU are IMPORTANT to THIS party. She has no right to be on this boat. She has no place here. YOU DO. Lystos. bring the girl here. NOW."

* [PC]_Lystos 's voice tapers off as he heads below decks. "So, Makal, how about that drink?..." he goes silent for a moment then shouts up at Cyenen. 'Wha...? Oh, you must be joking!"

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Adonis. You belong on this boat. If it means, that I have to kick the girl off myself I will do it.”

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal lets out a heavy sigh "I am going to be cast-off... Just like the night's vail... Damned be Tiamat..."

<[PC]_Cyenen> “LYSTOS. NOW.”

* [PC]_Lystos sighs and looks at the girl. "I am sorry for this, princess."

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal lets out a soft cry then hangs her head "Lead me to my death, my only friend..."

* [PC]_Lystos picks up the girl by the waist and carries he over his shoulder to the above deck.

* [PC]_Cyenen walks down the gangplank and stands at Adonis side, stating quietly  “You aksed me if I could stand at your side and not mock you. I am doing it now.” She turns to adress the priestess. “You are the one who has gotten yourself into thois mess. You have dragged along Adonis in it as well. If it is your death, so be it. It is NOT OUR PROBLEM”

* [PC]_Lystos sets down the girl at the pram of the ship, near to the gangplank.

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal takes the hands of Lystos with a smile "If my life is to end, I am glad to have had you as a friend for the short time we had..."

* [PC]_Lystos looks at her soft eyes. They remind him of his own love, still in Ostia, back home. "I.... I wish... I wish we had more time. To drink."

<[DM]_Hatter> "My friend, If you would do one single honor to me..."

<[PC]_Lystos> "Name it."

<[DM]_Hatter> "End the suffering before they can sacrifice myself in Adonis' place..."

* [PC]_Lystos 's eyes widen. "You mean..."

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal gives him a smile "I will not mind, I shall look upon you with Bahamut from the Azure..."

* [PC]_Cyenen rolls her eyes and makes a noise of disgust. “Priestess. You have asked me to choose with your actions. My choice is this. I choose Adonis.” She turns to Lystos. "It is time.” She gets onto pulling Adonis along with her then pushes the girl down the gangplank and throws her gold purse after her. “BUY A POISON! IT IS NOT OUR PLACE!”

*[PC]_Adonis calls after her, "Wait are they going to sacrifice you in my place..? So this was afterall to save your life, not mine, from the very beginning."

* [PC]_Lystos looks into the girl's eyes, seeing Samantha's.

<[PC]_Adonis> "Lystos, you're not a killer."

<[PC]_Cyenen> "No he is not. BUT I AM! SHE CAN BUY HER OWN POISON..."

<[PC]_Lystos> "Surely we can do *something!*"

<[PC]_Adonis> "We cannot! This is MY PAST! Not YOURS!"

<[PC]_Cyenen> "No Adonis. She is no longer apart of your life. You are free of her.”

<[PC]_Adonis> "Right... Let it go Lystos."

<[PC]_Lystos> "*ANYTHING!*" He looks down the gangplank at the girl.

* [PC]_Cyenen orders the sailors to pull the gangplank on board "SAILORS!! LET US BE FREE OF THIS PLACE!"

* [PC]_Lystos sighs and looks away, shouting, "I'm sorry, Makal!"

<[PC]_Adonis> "Good grief, next time I see someone saying "I believe in Bahamut" I'm gonna shoot her on sight!"

<[PC]_Cyenen> “Your not the only one.”

* [PC]_Lystos walks toward the stairs to the lower deck.

<[DM]_Hatter> "Yes... you are free of me... A last wish ungranted towards the priestess attempting to be better..." Makal stands from the Gangplank backing up slowly with her hands over her heart "My drinking friend, do not forget about me... May Bahamut bless your journies for years to come!"

<[PC]_Cyenen> “And may you hold your toungue! BAH! BE GONE WENCH!”

* [PC]_Lystos turns one last time, and holds a steady hand to the girl before turning away.. he sits in a chair in the captain's room, drinking from a mug of ale. The last of that keg. He raises his cup. "For Makal. Bahamut keep thee."

<[DM]_Hatter> Makal lets a smile out "Good bye... Friend..."

<[PC]_Adonis> "Lystos, quit with it."

<[PC]_Lystos> "Gods damn you. Gods damn you both." He storms downstairs and locks the door to the captains stateroom behind him.

* [PC]_Cyenen turns from the pitiful wench and orders the boat forward, away from the cursed rock of an island

<[DM]_Hatter> The priestess begins to mumble from her memory of the spells, conjuring a large flame over top fo her "Bahamut forgive me, Tiamat shall not have me..." The priestess falls onto the marble, clearly gone from this world to be a spirit forever in the grand azure beside of Bahamut as the ship leaves, the fire of her body is like a beacon for one of the party to remember forever.

* [PC]_Cyenen sighs and turns to Adonis.. “My friend... you are free.”

* [PC]_Adonis watches as the flames engulfes her in a mighty blaze.

<[PC]_Adonis> "I am....yes..." *gazes coldly almost lost in stare*

<[PC]_Cyenen> “And what awaits us now, I wonder....” She gazes into the horizon, lost in thought
