<[DM]_Hatter> The sun rises overtop of the Estate with the disorder being fixed without hands fixing. The sunlight covers the Estate with minimal shade overtop and the heat rising to the point of searing from the day before and continues to rise.
* [PC]_Cyenen walks down the stairs from the room she was given the night before, feeling refreshed from a night sleeping in a real bed, a hot bath, and grooming. She walks out into the morning light, stepping lightly to the bench in the courtyard that she had shared with the Marquise the day before.
* [PC]_Lystos blinks himself awake. He rises from his bed slowly, the sunlight beaming in through his open window. He moves toward his closet to get a change of clothes, still bleary-eyed. He yawns. "I never thought that being at home again could be so peaceful. Perhaps that is because mom is not about..."
* [PC]_Cyenen sits on the bench and watches the sun's accent into the sky, feeling calm and peaceful for the first time in a long time.. she had forgotten how wonderful it was to have a home.
* [PC]_Lystos , dressed in more casual clothes, walks downstairs and see Cyenen outside through a window. He walks over to her. "Good morning. How was your stay?"
<[PC]_Cyenen> "It feels good to be civilized.. you truly have a wonderful home... It has been too long since I was able to clean myself up.."
* [PC]_Lystos stands next to her and looks about his property. "Yes. I had forgotten how nice this place was. It almost makes me want to return for good." He smiles widely. "...Almost."
* [NPC]_Makal awakens from her only night of peaceful sleep in ages, slowly arising still within the robes she stole from Lystos
* [PC]_Cyenen chuckles. "It must be nice though. Knowing you have a place to return to."
* [NPC]_Makal slowly makes her trek down the stairs to the courtyard yawning with stumbles along the way slowly gaining her vision but blurrs to an extent "Hello..."
<[PC]_Cyenen> "'Quel amrun Makal!" (Good Morning Makal!)
* [PC]_Lystos turns to Makal and smiles. "Good morning, Makal... why are you still wearing my robes?"
* [NPC]_Makal looks at Cyenen giving a small welcoming wave then turning her gaze to Lystos "...There isn't much of an option... This is the only things that would fit and you are tall... I am... not..."
<[PC]_Cyenen> "Makal, lets get you something more of your size, shall we?"
<[PC]_Lystos> "It is no problem. We *do* have in-house tailors. They have all of the necessary materials here to make whatever clothes you desire. Allow me, Cyenen." He whistles sharply. "Rupert!"
<[NPC]_Makal> "I like this... Just make it shorter and I'll be fine..."
* [PC]_Lystos turns to Makal, a bit confused. "Hmm... If you insist, by all means."
<[DM]_Hatter> As Lystos whistles, an elven man begins running out from the house into the courtyard standing in a noble yet pleasent way with a smile "Yes, dear Lystos. How can I be of service?"
* [PC]_Lystos smiles to Rupert. "Good morning, Rupert." He turns to Makal. "It seems Makal here would like to have my robe shortened, for her to wear. Can the tailors accomplish this?"
<[DM]_Hatter> Rupert gives Lystos a smile and wink "I can accomplish this task personally since you requested it." he grabs Makal by the arm dragging her into the house with little effort swaying his hips as he walks slowly with Makal in tow.
<[PC]_Cyenen> "Quite... accomplished staff you seem to have Lystos."
* [PC]_Lystos shouts to Rupert as he walks away. "Be gentle with her, Rupert! You remember the incident..." He turns to Cyenen. "Yes, indeed. Every one of them is worth their weight in gold, and I value them highly."
<[PC]_Lystos> "Now, if you will excuse me, I will bring myself to the kitchen. I can smell the scent of griddle cakes wafting this way as we speak."
<[DM]_Hatter> Rupert waves his hand dismissingly as he drags her "That was one time, dear sir and I didn't mean to handle you in that manner and you know my mind is very vivid with those so called evil thoughts!" he shouts back while dragging her.
<[PC]_Cyenen> "aye."
* [PC]_Lystos stops in his tracks. "Where are my manners? Would you like some, too?"
<[PC]_Cyenen> "...sure.. I do not think I have ever had "griddle cakes..."
<[PC]_Lystos> "Ah, you will love them. They are pastries grilled in a pan over an open flame, served with butter and syrup. Delicious does not even begin to describe them."
* [PC]_Cyenen rises from her seat on the bench and walks to join him "Alright then.."
* [PC]_Lystos leads Cyenen to the kitchen. "Trust me, you will enjoy the experience. Just be careful of the chef. He is... rather excitable."
<[PC]_Cyenen> "I will remember that" *the feelings of nostalgia wash over her, making her feel somewhat out of place. She had not been in a home like this in over a century.. it was oddly depressing
* [PC]_Lystos enters the kitchen, his elven friend in tow. He politely asks his chef for two stacks of cakes, and guides Cyenen to a seat next to him at the long dinner table. He takes a seat at the head of the table. "Make yourself at home, Cyenen." He kicks his feet onto another chair. "Kick your feet up, if you wish." He nods to her.
* [PC]_Cyenen sits down and looks at Lystos "So, how long shall we stay here? I believe that there is a "mission" we must attend to, we promised Makal..." She looks at the food in front of her, and thinks, -Its not vegetables or fruit, but at least its not MEAT...- she takes a tentative bite and chews
<[PC]_Lystos> "As soon as we can. Makal's new robe must still be fitted, but after that, I do not see any reason for us to linger." He cuts into his cakes and, taking a large bite, chews happily.
[NPC]_Makal lets out a loud cry from the second story of the building "YOU STABBED ME WITH A NEEDLE!! I WILL MAKE YOU PAY IF YOU JAB ME AGAIN!!!!!"
<[PC]_Cyenen> "That is good.. we should not stay lon- oh dear. *looks at the ceiling* I am afraid her temper might be a problem.."
* [PC]_Lystos jumps a bit. He shouts upward, "By Pelor, Rupert! Be careful with her!" He gives a concerned look to Cyenen. ow seated straight, makes another large cut into his stack of cakes and wolfs them down hurriedly.
* [PC]_Cyenen sighs and takes another bite, keeping her eyes down
<[DM]_Hatter> Rupert response is brief "She is quite prone to moving! It would be easier if she wasn't in a damn hurry!"
* [PC]_Lystos finishes his cakes and rises from his seat. "I must get ready. These civilian clothes will do no good on a battlefield. I shall meet you again momentarily."
* [PC]_Cyenen pushes the food away from her and stands "It seems that we shall not linger long at all.. it is sad.. I have missed being in a home.."
* [PC]_Lystos nods to Cyenen. "As have I." He shouts his thanks to the cook, who promptly drops a pan and thanks him.
* [PC]_Cyenen rushes up the stairs to find Makal and Rupert
* [PC]_Lystos walks up to his room, and changes into his traveling clothes once more, draping his trusty tattered cloak over his shoulders.
* [NPC]_Makal lets out a strong battle cry that starts with an elvish voice startlingly turning into a half draconic cry as the doors on the house and the structure of the walls rumbles.
<[DM]_Hatter> A louder cry of an elven man realizing the magnitude of his error let out across the house after Makal's cry "By Pelor! She isn't an elven woman! MASTER LYSTOS!!!"
* [PC]_Cyenen walks into the room with Makal, and tries to calm her " Seere! lye ier rato Makal" (Peace.. we shall be leaving soon Makal!!)
<[PC]_Cyenen> "we shall depart for this mission soon enough, but please be calm until then.."
* [PC]_Lystos lunges from his room, and sprints toward the disturbance. "Damn it, Rupert! I told you not to anger her!" he shouts as he passes the tailor.
<[NPC]_Makal> Her stare was one of a piercing red dragon with her arms buldging to a significiant extent "He... jabbed... me... I asked him not to..." as her words vocalized, a small bit of fire flickered across her tongue.
* [PC]_Lystos approaches Makal. "Makal, calm yourself! Rupert meant you no harm!"
<[PC]_Cyenen> "Makal.. people make mistakes.. please realize this.. not everyone can be perfect all the time.. this man had no intent of hurting you... please.. control your temper."
<[DM]_Hatter> Rupert seeing his way out of the situation being the way of the coward, he jumps from his back against the wall towards the door and down the stairs.
<[NPC]_Makal> "He...jabbed...me... It hurts...alot... He jabbed me in the backside... I... should return the favor..."
<[PC]_Cyenen> "Makal.. no.. he did not mean to hurt you. Often times these kind of things happen.. Please, calm down.."
<[PC]_Lystos> "NO! No, Makal! Please -- control yourself. He is sorry." He turns to the direction in which Rupert ran. "Aren't you, Rupert?!"
* [NPC]_Makal growls in a low but audible tone "He...said it would make me stand still... So, he jabbed me with a needle in the rear..." she cracks her knuckles with a bone-crunching audible noise.
<[PC]_Lystos> "He -- Wait, he did WHAT?" He turns back to Rupert. "Rupert, you imbecile!" He turns back to Makal. "I apologize for his terrible behavior, Makal. He will be reprimanded severely for what he's done. Please, just..." He looks at Makal's muscly arms. "...Just calm down."
* [PC]_Cyenen sighs
<[DM]_Hatter> Rupert continues his run without hearing Lystos "Sorry, Master! I am simply not paid enough to deal with such a beast of the nature!"
* [PC]_Cyenen turns to Lystos "Please, explain this to her.. I must prepare for the journey." She leaves the room, and goes to retrieve her bow and scimitar, calling over her shoulder "I shall say goodbye to the Marquise!"
* [PC]_Lystos watches Cyenen leave in disbelief, the hulking Makal distracted by him. "Uh-oh..." he thinks.
* [NPC]_Makal glares at Lystos with a darkened stare then takes a deep breath "I am very sorry..." she states quite loudly "I shouldn't have screamed... I should have thrown his elven ass out of the window without any hesitation but I did cause it was your servant..."
* [PC]_Lystos smiles at her and sighs. "If you would have, I do not believe I would have been upset." He laughs at his own comment. "I ask only that you calm down for now. When we return, if Rupert is still around, you may smack him around a bit. Justice is justice, after all."
* [PC]_Cyenen walks into the courtyard, waiting for Lystos and Makal.. somehow relieved and saddened at leaving the Manor.
<[PC]_Lystos> "But now is not the time. We have to get to Iron-hold, remember?..."
* [NPC]_Makal gives a light blush as her muscles expand slightly reaching the full effect of her supernatural power "Lystos..." she gives a heavy sigh swinging her fist into the wall next to the window. The shear force of the impact shaking the entire building and shattering the window as if it were the target of the punch.
* [PC]_Lystos lurches from the impact. "I know..." He looks at the fist imprint in the wall. "I know that you are angry, and I am, too, but the target of your aggression is gone from this place. I assure you, when next we see him, you may do as you wish, but no one here wishes you harm."
<[PC]_Lystos> "Oh, Pelor help the poor girl..." he whispers to himself.
* [NPC]_Makal 's muscles slowly reduce as she stands with her head hanging low and sighing heavily "I do not wish to harm your servant anymore..." she turns her gaze onto Lystos "I just wish to do my mission, travel... and help..."
* [PC]_Lystos smiles and grows relaxed again. "Thank you, Makal... You are a great help to all of us."
<[NPC]_Makal> "...Thank you for helping..." she gives a vague smile as she continues to walk in the shortened robes that is almost complete "I will deal with the long sleeves... That bastard of an elf is not coming near me with sharp objects."
<[PC]_Lystos> "I agree wholeheartedly. Come. Let us find Cyenen." He offers her his hand.
* [NPC]_Makal looks at his hand and slowly & hesitantly puts her hand into his "...Your father... He is weird... He asked before I threw him if I were your bride to be..."
* [PC]_Lystos guides her to the stairs in the foyer. "Hah... He is a strange man. Like all good fathers, he worries about his family."
* [PC]_Lystos leads her down the stairs. "He simply wants me to settle down. He believes that I am in danger far too often."
<[PC]_Lystos> "I am sorry if what he has said offended you." He leads her through the first-floor hallways.
<[NPC]_Makal> "You are in danger anytime I am enraged... How can it be safer if we were to settle down..." her mind tinkering with the idea, unable to fully comprehend the situation further than a few steps. "I am not offended... I am flattered but the thought makes me nervous... How can humans think like that?"
* [PC]_Lystos opens the door to the garden, which Cyenen is sitting near. "They think that way because they care about the happiness of their children. As long as their offspring are happy, then they are happy. If they are not, then they do not truly care about the well-being of their child."
* [PC]_Lystos guides her through the garden, moving closer to Cyenen. "If the parent loves their child, then they will accept the decisions the child makes. It is that simple. My father does indeed love me, so I believe that you would be a shoe-in." He smiles at her. "It is not all bad."
<[NPC]_Makal> "I still do not understand... I don't think I will until the time comes for my own..." she gives a heavy sigh lookg at him with a smile "I do not mind the idea. Tis just startling of an old man whom is foolish enough to grab a dragon-kin from behind and then greets me into his home like his own..."
* [PC]_Cyenen walks into the courtyard, waiting for Lystos and Makal.. somehow relieved and saddened at leaving the Manor. She retrieves the materials to make Lystos a bow, and sits on the stone bench in the courtyard, letting her hands craft the wood into the proper shape, humming the songs of her people as she does so. She works at whittling, taking care to carve "Aa' i'sul nora lanne'lle tenna' lye omentuva" (May wind fill your sails on your journeys) She strings the bow carefully, making sure the string is taught and tight, then blesses it with the words of her people "Vara tel' Seldarine ltura beleg curu" (Protect thy master well, mighty bow)
* [PC]_Cyenen stands from her spot on the bench and sets the bow behind her, waiting for the right moment to present it to lystos
* [PC]_Lystos chuckles. "I understand. My father can be... overzealous. As for the what happens in the future..." He glances into her eyes again. He feels a warmth which he hasn't felt in years burn him a bit inside. "...only time will tell."
* [PC]_Lystos and Makal approach Cyenen. "Hello, Cyenen." He glances to the bow that she crafted. "...A new bow for you?"
* [PC]_Cyenen chuckles softly, "Lystos, I promised you an elven bow did I not? I did the best I could. It should serve you well. Aa' i'sul nora lanne'lle tenna' lye omentuva" (May wind fill your sails on your journeys)
* [PC]_Lystos takes the bow in his hands. "For me? Are you sure? This is quite an honor, Cyenen... I take this gift with great apprecation." He puts his hand over his heart and smiles warmly. "From the bottom of my heart, I thank you."
<[DM]_Hatter> Passing by the garden, a cloaked man with the knowing of the dragon-kin woman and the quest of which she would be on vaguely. The sight of the woman aroused his attention to enter without asking as he entered, his features became more promenent as a man of the woods.
* [PC]_Cyenen bows to Lystos "It was an honor crafting it. It shall serve you well.."
<[DM]_Hatter> The man from under the cloak gives a heavy sigh "Which of you is the one whom spoke to Pelor... Of a quest..."
* [PC]_Lystos turns to the incoming figure, moving a bit in front of Makal. "This is private property, friend... What business have you here?"
* [PC]_Cyenen turns to look at the approaching stranger, her hand flitting to the scimitar at her belt
* [PC]_Cian takes a step and looks above..to the skies..He lowers his gaze to look into the eyes of the elf.. "My buisness is to serve when it is needed. I came to solicit aid in this quest. Why go alone.."
* [PC]_Lystos looks warily at the wild man. "...How do you know of our quest?"
* [PC]_Cian sighs softly.. "I was told by Selune. I will not shun my duties to the Moonmaiden."
* [PC]_Cyenen raises her eyebrows and steps forward slightly approaching the man "You follow Selune?"
* [PC]_Cian strokes his hair and tilts his head to the side.. "Yes, yes i do."
* [PC]_Cyenen smiles warmly at the man "As do I... my name is Cyenen... have you a companion, or a shape?"
<[PC]_Cian> "It is a pleasure to meet you Cyenen. My name is Cian. I do have a companion, yes. A wolf by the name of Aeolus. He is...around."
* [PC]_Lystos , seeing the stranger is not as wild as he seems, turns to Cyenen, then to Makal. "This is a group decision. Shall we allow him to come with us?"
<[PC]_Cyenen> "They are wonderful animals... I happen to have a shape.. birthrite.. of a wolf.. "
* [NPC]_Makal stares at the stranger and looks onto Lystos slowly "I will allow it if you are willing to let him come with us."
<[PC]_Cyenen> "I do not find a problem with him Lystos. I think another member of our part would be welcome."
* [PC]_Cian looks at the three and bows.. "I thank you all. I hope to prove to be useful."
* [PC]_Lystos nods to Cyenen, and smiles at Makal. He turns to the newcomer. "The aye's have it. Welcome aboard, Cian." He holds out his hand. "I am Lystos Harken."
* [PC]_Cian shakes hands with Lystos.. "It is a great pleasure to meet you Lystos." He turns to face the third member. "May i ask your name?"
* [NPC]_Makal gives Cian a nervous looking stepping back a single step "I am Priestess Makal of Pelor..." she keeps her distance and atleast Lystos between her and the newcomer.
* [PC]_Lystos chuckles at Makal. "She is a bit shy."
* [PC]_Cian takes a small step forward to greet but hesitates. "I hope I have not made you nervous. Please forgive me if i have." He looks to Lystos and then to Makal. "It is to be expected with a sudden arrival.."
<[PC]_Cyenen> "Do not worry Cian, we have been through much, I am sure it is not you."
* [PC]_Lystos nods. "Indeed. Do not worry." He turns his head about. "Cyenen... did you see father anywhere out here?"
<[PC]_Cyenen> "I have not.."
<[PC]_Lystos> "Hmm. I had hoped to say goodbye before we left."
<[PC]_Cyenen> "I wish I could have as well.. he is a kind man, your father."
<[PC]_Cian> "Is someone missing? Should we go look for them or..?"
* [NPC]_Makal stands on her toes up to Lystos' ear speaking in a low gentle tone "He looks to be faithful to his god... I do not like strangers, that is all..."
* [PC]_Cyenen clasps Cian on the arm "Do not worry friend, I am sure all is well." *Turns to the party, "Well, it seems we have a quest to be on.. shall we go?"
* [PC]_Lystos nods understandingly at Makal. "He seems like a nice fellow. I have a good feeling about him." He then
turns to Cyenen and Cian. "Yes, we should be off..." He extends his hand to Makal. "Come, my dear. We make for the boat."
* [PC]_Cyenen slings her bow over her shoulder and motions for Cian to follow "It seems we are in for quite an adventure my friend!"
<[PC]_Cian> "A worthy adventure indeed. I should hope Aeolus is there by now."
* [NPC]_Makal hesitates for a moment before grasping his hand again with a small smile "Tis still... Foreign to take a man's hand... Sorry..."
* [PC]_Lystos chuckles. "Forgive me. It is... a habit." He turns to the others. "We go."
